12th Symposium on Joint Preserving and Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Hip

The University of Ottawa, Division of Orthopaedics is proud to present the 12th Symposium on Joint Preserving and Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Hip presented in conjunction with the 2017 COA Annual Meeting.

This 2–day symposium is dedicated to a scientific and practice oriented discussion of current topics and controversies in treating the young adult with hip pain.

Topics discussed will include Hip Arthroscopy, Femoro Acetabular Impingement (FAI) / Dysplasia; Hip Resurfacing, less invasive hip replacement surgery as well as expert panels to discuss controversies of metal on metal bearings, dual mobility and large ceramic heads. A new feature to our program is 2 hands on skills laboratories for hip arthroscopy, osteotomy and anterior approach total hip replacements and other less invasive surgical techniques.

Chaired by Drs. Paul Beaulé, Etienne Belzile and Wade Gofton, the symposium will be held from June 15-17, 2017 at the Westin Ottawa Hotel.
